*Job Objective:*
The Financial Support Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations.
From daily cash reconciliation to month-end closing entries, the Financial Support Specialist will be responsible for a variety of essential tasks to maintain the financial health of the company.
*Job Duties*
* Conduct daily cash reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
* Manage weekly inventory cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies as necessary.
* Review and process expense reports in compliance with company policies and procedures.
* Prepare and file sales and use tax returns in accordance with regulatory requirements.
* Review and post manufacturing activity to accurately reflect financial transactions.
* Assist with month-end closing entries to facilitate timely and accurate financial reporting.
* Provide financial project management support, including billing and invoicing activities.
* Maintain controls in vendor, item, and customer classification to ensure data integrity.
* Serve as backup for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions as needed.
*Qualifications*
* Associate's degree in Accounting or related experience.
* Five or more years of experience in financial support or accounting roles.
* Knowledgeable in GAP and PE accounting principles and practices.
* Experience with Epicor ERP software is a plus.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Meets deadlines and follows tasks to completion.
* Adaptive to changes to meet business needs.
* Proactively seeks out opportunities to improve processes.
