SUMMARY
The Financial Planning & Analysis Business Partner serves as the primary liaison between the corporate finance department and the Leaders of the strategic business units at the Jewelers Mutual Group of companies.
Accountable for creating a valued business partnership with Leaders in both operations and sales management, this role is the trusted financial advisor for the assigned business units, providing “real time” analysis and insights into their results.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Create, reconcile, and distribute monthly operating statements and related financial analyses to P&L business unit owners and executive leadership.
Present financials at monthly P&L reviews, provide P&L business unit owners with explanations, insights and commentary on monthly, quarterly and annual financial results to aid in the understanding of actual versus planned and prior results as well as present financials at monthly P&L reviews
Key contributor to forecasting, budget preparation and strategic plan preparation.
Partner with P&L business unit owners in the development of strategic initiatives and related financial forecasts
Analyze and provide insight into P&L business unit expenses to aid in controlling costs
As requested by P&L business unit owners work on M&A teams by providing financial analysis to aid in valuation review, exhibit builds, and financial due diligence.
Build partnerships and maintain strong relationships with P&L business unit leaders and their teams.
Create ROI models, valuation models, and financial dashboards to aid P&L business unit owners and executive leadership in decision making
Assist P&L business unit owners in vendor analysis
Contribute to and work with Executive and business unit leaders on board level presentations.
Support profitable growth by implementing processes and systems to automate and standardize processes.
Champion accounting initiatives that affect enterprise reporting, systems, and controls as they relates to budgeting, financial planning and analysis and forecasting.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree (B.
A.
) in Finance or Accounting.
Must have 7 years of related experience
Insurance industry experience is preferred.
Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office, primarily Excel.
Knowledge of Vena Solutions – Financial Reporting Software or other database/financial reporting system preferred.
Must enjoy and desire collaborative work with many areas and processes.
Cross-functional partnership in this role provides a broad understanding of the company’s initiatives, operations, and workflows.
Must enjoy and desire a variety of work with competing deadlines and need for impeccable quality.
This role includes direct collaboration with the CFO and other Executive leaders.
Must have high ethical standards.
