Are you looking for a Part-time Payroll & Benefits position? If so, this may be the position for you! Hours/days will vary every other week.
Mondays are an 8-hour day every week.
One week, you will work Monday, Thursday and Friday and the following week Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Hour will average between 20-24 hours.
This position is onsite in our Appleton facility.
Our ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, prior payroll processing experience preferably in manufacturing and the willingness to embrace ongoing change.
The Part-time Payroll & Benefits Specialist processes the company's bi-weekly payroll for our salaried and hourly employees and administers the company benefit plans.
You are also a part of the human resources team and will provide administrative assistance with safety, employee recordkeeping and reporting.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*
* Process bi-weekly payroll for salaried and hourly employees.
Work with supervisors and managers to verify employee hours are accurately reported and coded.
Enter and verify all payroll deductions.
* Hold benefit meetings for new employees and ensure timely benefit sign-ups.
Coordinate annual open enrollment.
* Support the human resources team in safety, employee activities and any human resources projects.
* Assist in coordinating training for safety and employee development.
* Ensure all regulatory requirements are met, including Affordable Care Act (ACA) and ERISA requirements.
Participate in government filings, plan audits and tax-reporting requirements as needed.
Stay up to date on regulatory changes.
* Other duties as assigned.
*EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:*
* Associate’s degree in human resources, business administration or related field, 2+ years of payroll and/or benefit administration or a combination of education and relevant payroll experience required
* Experience using an HRIS system is required; ADP experience preferred
* Excellent communication skills
* Exceptional customer focus and ability to build effective working relationships at all organizational levels
* High degree of professionalism, discretion and integrity
* Must have excellent computer skills and be highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Word and Excel
* Strong organization and prioritization skills
* Ability to adapt to a changing environment
