We are hiring an AR Associate for our Finance Team!!
This position can work remotely but will need to be able to come into the Neenah, WI facility for meetings/projects as needed.
The Accounts Receivable Associate will manage the collection of customer payments in an assigned credit region.
They provide financial, administrative, and clerical support by ensuring the company receives payments for goods and services and properly records the transactions by posting receipts and resolving discrepancies according to established policies and procedures in an efficient, timely and accurate manner.
They must build and maintain a cooperative and collaborative professional relationship with the external and internal customers to maintain accurate customer account information.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Collect on accounts by sending invoice reminders and communication with customers via phone, email, fax or mail
• Prompt response to credit holds by reviewing payment status, credit limit, or terms
• Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions and entering them into the general ledger or accounting software
• Review credit limits, assisted by the Shared Service Manager.
• Proactively resolve collections by building relationships and examining customer payment behavior.
• Resolve valid or authorized deductions by entering adjusting entries
• Resolve invalid or unauthorized deductions by following pending deductions procedures
• Maintain customer master files.
• Assist with monthly financial closes and annual audit.
• Occasionally cover incoming phone calls to the main TIDI switchboard.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Associate’s degree (A.
A.
) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to two year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Ability to effectively communicate information to customers, vendors, and other employee of the organization.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages.
• Ability to deal with problem solving.
• High degree of accuracy
• Customer Service and Negotiation Skills
• Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
• Knowledge and ability in accounting software, database software, spreadsheet software, email, and word processing software.
