Neuroscience Group has an opening in their infusion suite for a Full-Time team-oriented Infusion Tech.
This position will typically work Monday -Friday 8 hours per day.
Some overtime may be required.
As an integral member of the Clinical Services Team, the Infusion Tech will assist the RN's in daily tasks assigned to ensure the best patient experience possible.
For thirty years, Neuroscience Group has provided excellent neurologic care for the Fox Valley and Northeast Wisconsin.
Ours is the only medical facility in the area that combines neurosurgery, neurology, orthopedic spine surgery, interventional and non-interventional pain management and physical therapy.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Patient care
Performs intravenous catheter placement, when delegated by Infusion RN.
Records and reports medical status of patients, i.
e.
, takes vitals following procedure and provides general care needs promptly as directed by RN.
Notifies infusion nurses, and/or family members of any change in patient's status and follows instructions about interventions from RNs along with documentation.
Assist with patient needs as they arise, i.
e, toileting.
Assists with phlebotomy for the entirety of the Appleton (445) clinic and proper technique of specimen storage until picked up by courier service.
Assists patients with the enrollment process necessary for financial assistance in order to obtain prescribed medication as appropriate.
Supports and promotes the ideal patient experience and brand building basics.
Administrative
Supports and promotes the mission and strategic vision of the organization.
Assists Infusion RNs with prior authorizations for intravenous medications from patients' insurance.
Helps track when prior authorizations need updating.
Responsibilities
Regularly attends and contributes positively to team and organizational meetings.
Documents in the medical record, in a timely and accurate manner, all pertinent patient information to ensure continuity of patient care.
Ability to create and work effectively with team.
Ability to assume authority and responsibility yet understands his/her role within a larger team and corporate system.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities throughout the day and adapt to position change requirements.
Possesses exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Epic and the various EMR technologies.
Perform all other temporary and/or permanent duties as assigned by the Team Leader.
Financial/Purchasing
Tracks supply inventory and informs team lead when an order needs to be placed.
Stocks infusion room appropriately.
Organization of supply room, keeping areas neat, clean and orderly
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
CNA, MA, LPN acceptable.
MA and LPN are preferred, but not a requirement for consideration.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
Requires frequent position change including standing, bending, stooping, and stretching.
Will involve lifting supplies up to 40 pounds.
Will need to assist with patient/wheelchair/bathroom transfers.
Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to start intravenous catheters and operate intravenous pumps/standard office equipment.
Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight in order to communicate and function within this setting.
