The Department of Corrections is currently recruiting to fill a Buildings and Grounds Supervisor position.
This position is based out of Oshkosh Correctional Insitution in Oshkosh , WI.

Position Summary This position will supervise the Institution’s Building and Grounds Maintenance program, providing direct supervision to specified maintenance staff and providing direction to all maintenance staff in the general maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment and institution grounds.
This position will participate in maintenance project planning, evaluation and management; direct the preventative maintenance, pest control and grounds programs; determine monthly and emergency supply and equipment needs for maintenance department; assist with monitoring budget expenditures; conduct health and safety checks/inspections.
Assigned responsibilities include the assistance of inmate workers and security staff to effectively carry out program functions.
Salary Information This position is in pay schedule/range 81-04 with an annual salary of $42,099 - $77,584 plus excellent benefits.
Pay on appointment for current state employees may vary according to the applicable pay transaction provisions of the State Compensation Plan, Wisconsin Administrative Code, and statutes.
A twelve-month probationary period is required.

heating, cooling & refrigeration systems, electric and mechanical equipment, food service equipment, grounds equipment, security systems, building structure components, plumbing, electrical, computerized and mechanical systems, and vehicles.
) Planning and directing the maintenance and repair of service systems.

telephone, radio, computer local network, electric, security fences, cameras, natural gas, water distribution systems and storm, and sanitary sewer system.
) In addition to the above, well qualified applicants will have experience: Establishing and maintaining safety training programs and safety policy implementations including fire codes, ADA accessibility, building codes, material handling safety, lockout/tag out procedures, confined space entry.
