The Department of Corrections is currently recruiting to fill a Social Worker - Limited Termed Employment positions located at Redgranite Correctional Insitution, Redgranite, WI (Waushara County).
Note: Candidates must be a resident of the State of Wisconsin in order to be considered.
NOTE: LTE positions are limited to working a total of 1039 hours over a period of 12 months.
The work hours of this position are flexible once trained and will be Monday through Friday, anytime from 6am - 6pm.
The exact schedule will be determined with the supervisor upon appointment.
Position Summary
This position assesses assigned inmates’ problems and capabilities; formulates a case plan; monitors inmates’ progress; provides counseling; and develops and refers inmates to appropriate institution and community resources upon transfer or release.
Some of the tasks are governed by Administrative Rules, Department of Corrections, and institution mandates.
In addition, treatment efforts are coordinated with other institutions and unit staff, parole agents, the inmate’s family and/or community resources.
Salary Information
The starting pay is between $18.
87 and $32.
68 per hour.
The pay schedule/range is 12-64.
Job Details
Applicants must be legally entitled to work in the United States (i.

without DOC sponsorship) at the time of application.
The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled.
Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.
The Department of Corrections may conduct pre-employment drug screens.
Any applicant who is offered employment in a position which requires a pre-employment drug screen must pass the screen as a contingency to employment.
Applicants who fail or refuse the drug screen will not be given further consideration for employment.

Applicants MUST possess a Social Worker credential issued by the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services in the form of a:
· Social Worker Training certificate (127)
· Social Worker certificate (120)
· Advanced Practice Social Worker certificate (121)
· Independent Clinical Social Worker certificate (122) or
· Licensed Clinical Social Worker license (123)
