Kitchen Manager

Kinder Haus is looking to hire a cook for our daycare.
Looking to hire one or two people to job share 30-35 hours a week.
*Responsibilities* Prepare nutritionally balanced, attractive family-style meals for children and staff for breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks.
Plan menus taking into account state and federal nutritional requirements, the centers budget, and seasonal availability of food.
Keep an accurate inventory of supplies and place orders, and/or grocery shop for supplies as needed.
Manage all aspects of prepping and preparing meals, as well as cleaning and complying with sanitation requirements.
Responsible for compliance with the State of Wisconsin DPI Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).
Responsible for ensuring food is prepared, stored and served using proper food service guidelines.
Demonstrates flexibility in the daily business needs of Kinder Haus.
*Qualifications* Having knowledge of and/or willing to learn the State of Wisconsin DPI Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) Reliable adult willing to work hard with good attendance practices and good attitude Have at least 2 years previous cooking experience for large group setting Must be able to work fast and timely in the preparation of food Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds without assistance Must be able to clean and organize kitchen area on a daily basis Willing to perform other duties as needed at Kinder Haus Possesses a food handling certificate or ability to receive one within 90 days of hire Must be able to pass a standard background and finger print check High School Diploma or equivalent Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Benefits: * Paid time off Shift: * Day shift Supplemental pay types: * Signing bonus Weekly day range: * Monday to Friday Work Location: In person Application Deadline: 11/21/2021
