Designs, develops, and tests software applications.
Performs coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the software development lifecycle.
Supports existing applications.
Key Areas of Responsibility
• Oversees design decisions for new and existing software development
• Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and business requirements
• Lead small and medium sized projects
• Train and mentor less-experienced team members
• Partner with product owner and stakeholders to develop solutions to business problems
• Make recommendations for technical improvements to applications
• Develop new software applications and extend existing applications
• Troubleshoot, test, and validate existing software issues with urgency
• Work with product owner to estimate and clarify work
• Design, develop, and test solutions to ensure they meet business requirements
• Document technical processes in collaboration with internal and external partners
• Ensure effective data management occurs and high data integrity is maintained through systems and processes
• Design, develop, and modify databases and associated processes to populate/maintain databases.
• Provide support for ERP, EDI, databases, reporting, and data integration processes
• Complete continuous learning/training with achievement-related certifications as appropriate
• Build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in computer-related field (preferred)
• 10+ years of software and database development experience
• 2+ years of experience with Agile software development processes and principles
• 1+ year of experience as a technical team lead
• Proficient in MS Visual FoxPro, .
NET, MS SQL, C#, JavaScript, ASP.
NET, MVC, VB.
NET, HTML, JSON, Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, Git, REST, Web APIs
• Experience with Acumatica (preferred)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into non-technical terms
• Ability to independently work as a contributing member in a high-paced and focused team
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks with competing deadlines
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work under pressure
• Collaborative with a strong desire to dig in and learn independently and ask questions
• Considers best-practices and departmental policies and procedures
