We are actively seeking a skilled Unified Communications Engineer with a specialized focus on unified communications and phone systems to join our innovative team.
In this role, you will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of our Unified Communications infrastructure, emphasizing expertise in voice technologies.
The ideal candidate will have an understanding of VoIP protocols, phone system integration, and a passion for delivering high-quality communication experiences.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
VoIP and Phone System Design:
Lead the design and implementation of VoIP solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
Configure and optimize phone systems to meet organizational communication requirements.
Integration and Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate the phone system with unified communications platforms.
Ensure alignment between phone system capabilities and business processes.
Troubleshooting and Support:
Diagnose and resolve issues related to phone system promptly.
Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, addressing phone system-related concerns.
Scalability and Reliability:
Design scalable phone system solutions to accommodate organizational growth.
Implement measures to ensure high availability and reliability of phone system services.
Documentation:
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Unified Communications, phone systems, configurations, and procedures.
Develop or recommend training materials and provide or coordinate sessions for end-users as needed.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in VoIP and Unified Communications.
Propose and implement enhancements to existing systems to improve efficiency and user experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:
ESSENTIAL:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Unified Communications Engineer with a focus on VoIP and phone systems.
In-depth knowledge of VoIP protocols (SIP, H.
323), phone system configurations, and call routing.
Familiarity with security measures and compliance standards in Unified Communications.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Experience with VoIP platforms (e.

, Mitel, Microsoft Teams Voice).
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
PREFERRED:
Familiarity with Mitel and cloud-based Unified Communications solutions.
Knowledge of scripting languages for automation (e.
