The Heart of the Valley YMCA is hiring a Tai Chi Instructor.
As a Tai Chi Instructor, you'll creating a calming and restorative environment, while teaching participants how to move in a smooth & graceful flow.
This is a part-time position with the opportunity for additional hours, if desired.
Intermediate knowledge of anatomy, body mechanics, and exercise physiology.
Ability to work with all ages of participants, especially our active older members.
Certification in Group Fitness &/or Strength & Conditioning or be willing to obtain through Y USA or another nationally-recognized program.
Cerification in Tai Chi from an accredited program
Certification in CPR, First-Aid & AED or be willing to obtain through the YMCA once hired.
Prior experience in teaching fitness classes or have completed the Y’s Group Fitness Instructor Training Program or be willing to obtain through the YMCA once hired.
