The Instructional Designer/Developer is responsible for supporting Prospera's training and development initiatives through creative and effective training design.
Effective training helps our employees deliver exceptional experiences for our members and helps them develop and progress in their own career paths.
Working closely with the VP of Learning and Development, leadership and related subject matter experts, this position is responsible for creating a standardized approach to our training, developing curriculum to be delivered in person, online and virtually to create on the job training and job aids for helping employees successfully develop, retain and enhance technical and soft skills.
Key Accountabilities
Assists in the development, implementation, and administration of training plans specific to various department roles by creating and designing effective content.
Develops the framework for programs that support achievement of Prospera Credit Union's key results and objectives.
In collaboration with the Director of Learning and Development and subject matter experts across the credit union, assists in identifying needs and developing plans and training activities to promote and support company-wide initiatives such as new employee training, employee development, member experience excellence, operational effectiveness, new technology implementation, regulatory changes, compliance, and product knowledge.
Develops and sometimes delivers training curriculum, presentations, instructor guides, participant guides, job aids, and reinforcement activities using a variety of best practice delivery methods (including instructor-led, video, virtual, self-study, and web-based) to maintain participant engagement and knowledge retention.
Optimizes training processes for efficiency and retention of competencies.
Ensures that training content is continuously updated to reflect changes to credit union philosophies, procedures, product offerings, systems, and workflows.
Communicates appropriately using well developed interpersonal skills to build and foster
Ensures that assigned training milestones and goals are met.
Supports the organization's mission, vision and values by exhibiting a high standard of professional behavior.
Serves as a classroom trainer as needed and in topics that are applicable.
Assists in training and sometimes partners with other trainers to deliver content.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience and Education:
We are looking for a combination of:
Bachelor's degree with emphasis in training, organizational development, adult learning principles, etc.
Three to five years of instructional design experience, which includes developing curriculum including learning objectives, training content, instructor guides, participant guides, job aids, competency measurement and reinforcement activities.
Experience developing and using a variety of best practice delivery methods including instructor-led, video, virtual, self-study and web-based is needed.
Credit union experience a plus.
Ability to work on multiple projects while managing deadlines.
This position is NOT remote and must be within the Wisconsin Fox Valley area to work on-site as required by the position.
