is a third party administration and consulting firm with the mission to provide a liquid business transition solution for owners of closely-held businesses to establish, maintain and sustain an employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) while maximizing the financial and many other benefits of being an ESOP company through the establishment of a strong employee ownership culture.
POSITION SUMMARY The ESOP Culture Consultant is responsible for assisting in the development and delivery of ESOP culture educational services to both new and existing ESOP Partners clients.
This position uses a proactive consulting process to actively listen and identify the true pain points employee-owned companies experience in communicating their ESOP benefits to their employees and leadership teams.
Working alongside the client, the Consultant will proactively plan and develop key initiatives to transform the way the client’s employees and leadership teams think and act as an employee-owner.
This position maintains overall quality relations with existing clients, and provides subject matter expert (SME) guidance to support sales consultants in converting qualified leads into new clients for ESOP Partners.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Ability to define learning objectives and create training curriculum to satisfy the defined learning objectives.
Prepares and delivers dynamic and engaging ownership culture presentations to groups of varying sizes and in varying formats (in-person or virtual).
Adapting material to a variety of situations while delivering a consistent learning objective.
Tests effectiveness of curriculum as delivered.
Contacts clients via telephone, email correspondence, social media, or in-person by traveling as frequently as necessary to meet any culture and communication project and billable hours goals.
Travels an estimated 10 business days a month.
Travel varies and can be via plane or car to another city or state.
Serves as an ownership culture subject matter expert (SME) to ESOP Partners’ clients, existing and new, while helping develop redundancy support through cross-training of additional consultants on the team.
Ensures that all ESOP Partners culture and communication projects are creating value-added services for prospects and current clients, based on data collection, feedback from clients, insight on business trends, and competitive programs and practices to ensure return on investment for the client.
Represents ESOP Partners at client meetings and training, conferences, committee, and professional networking events, including ESOP industry speaking engagements as directed and approved by leadership.
Participates in the creation of invoices in the appropriate timeframe and assists in the collection of aging account balances.
Collaborates on all culture and communications projects, including following the approved process to request resources needed (external and internal), collaboration and communication on expectations and deadlines with resources identified, and ensuring execution of required and documented quality control process prior to delivering materials or services to ESOP Partners’ clients.
Collaborates on all internal and external communications, through following all ESOP Partners required processes and policies, to ensure they are accurate and consistent with ESOP Partners branding and to avoid liability concerns, related to the technical subject matter, including materials used at all client meetings and training, conference presentations, and blog posts.
Completes and submits weekly updates on culture and communication activity, as well as any/all outlined expectations in this position.
Assumes additional responsibilities not outlined in the job description, as needed.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS This position requires an experienced public speaker with advanced presentation skills.
This position also requires a good working knowledge of computer software applications, up to and including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams.
Employees will be expected to learn ESOP Partners’ proprietary software system called ESOP Revolution, as well as other software, including Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Knowledge and Skills: Education/Experience: Required minimum of 2-3 years of public speaking experience, and/or another related field.
