Chileda's goal is to help students increase their appropriate social behaviors and develop independent living skills, through an enriched learning environment and individualized behavior programming.
We are now accepting applications for a Principal in Menasha, WI.
Summary: Under the direction of the Director of Special Education, the Principal will play a critical role in managing the day-to-day operations of a school for individuals with cognitive and behavioral challenges.
In this position, the Principal will ensure all students are provided an excellent educational experience while working on their behavioral goals and complying with each Individualized Education Program.
**Anticipated start date for this position is July 1, 2024** Education Requirements: A master's degree in Education is required.
Minimum of two years of supervision experience.
This position requires a Wisconsin Administrator license or the ability to obtain within two years of hire.
Special education background.
Knowledge of Individual Education Plans (IEP).
Status Info: This is a full-time, exempt position that works Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.
m.
to 4 p.
m.
Additional hours of work may be required.

Job Duties: Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of all Individualized Educational Programs (IEPs), including annual and quarterly review meetings with families, school districts, and social service agencies.
Along with the Education Manager, facilitate collaborative work between teachers and behavior services to set up a classroom environment for meeting educational and behavioral goals.
Train classroom teachers to teach in a unique environment where they collaborate with multiple departments (behavior, case, residential) to ensure consistency across environments.
Incorporate best practice instructional and assessment methodology while communicating openly with the Director of Special Education.
Maintain curriculum, progress monitoring, and benchmark assessments throughout the year while ensuring compliance with all licensing, accreditation, rules, and regulations.
Facilitate an IEP or quarterly meeting, ensuring that each member of the IEP team participates, advocates for the needs of the student, mitigates disagreements that may arise during the meeting, and ensures follow-up to questions that may arise during the meeting.
Manage budget for the facility.
Review, approve, and sign Education Purchase Requests and supervise the use of petty cash.
