Performs routine and specialized clerical functions in support of the County Clerk's Office and the County Board.
Answering phones, Greet citizens who come into the County Clerk's office.
Help couples complete their marriage license application, Help with County Board packets.
Various other tasks as assigned.
**The position is a part-time benefit-eligible role at 25-30 hours per week.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
The following duties are most critical for this position.
These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive.
Other duties may be required and assigned.
• Prepares and distributes material for County Board packets including resolutions, ordinances, minutes, communications, appointments and agenda.
• Re formats resolutions and ordinances, orders copies as needed for inclusion in Board packets.
• Attends, records and transcribes minutes of County Board meetings and related correspondence as required.
• Prepares and types the yearly County Board Proceedings book to include all votes, appointments, resolutions and ordinances for publication.
• Maintains resolution/ordinance files and amendments, attaches roll call records and distributes as directed.
• Publishes minutes, budget adjustments and ordinances as required by law; posts same information to the web site.
• Serves as personal secretary to the County Clerk.
• Serves as department receptionist, greets customers, answers phones.
• Prepares and issues marriage licenses, dog licenses, records transactions and handles fees per prescribed methods.
• Performs general office clerical duties such as processing mail, ordering supplies, data entry, running reports, maintaining files, preparing purchase orders and vouchers, notarizing documents as requested.
reconciling the cash drawer and making deposits, and assisting with counter duties including taking messages and providing information.
• Assists with entering data into Wisvote.
• Maintains regular and predictable attendance, works overtime/extra hours as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Knowledge of and demonstrated ability to conform to goals, policies, and procedures of the Department as well as the Outagamie County Work Rules and Terms of Employment.
• Knowledge of, and ability to use, modern office practices, procedures, and equipment such as calculator, typewriter, computer, photocopier, FAX machine, telephone, etc.
• Knowledge of and demonstrated skill in performing general clerical duties.
• Knowledge of and demonstrated skill in using business English, grammar, and spelling.
• Demonstrated ability to type 55 words per minute at 95% accuracy rate.
• Ability to work semi-independently, make sound decisions, and use good judgment.
• Ability to maintain accurate and complete records, and prepare clear and comprehensive reports.
• Knowledge of and ability to use computer software and applications utilized by the department.
• Ability to maintain composure and effectively use tact and diplomacy with co-workers, general public, government agencies, etc.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to budget time and schedule work to efficiently complete tasks.
• Ability to work evening hours as necessary.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English, verbally and in writing.
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and figure mathematical calculations.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull; or otherwise move objects up to 20 pounds, understanding and utilizing proper body mechanics.
