Menn Law Firm, Ltd seeks an experienced full-time Litigation Paralegal to join our Appleton office.
We seek a candidate with advanced knowledge of civil and/or commercial proceedings to become an important member of our growing legal team.
Compensation:
$25 - $30 hourly
Responsibilities:
Prepare legal documents such as motions, pleadings, correspondence, and discovery documents for attorneys
Maintain regular communication with clients to update them on developments and obtain needed information
Provide assistance to attorneys throughout all stages of litigation
Arrange and categorize documents for filing and showing in court
Monitor and follow important dates and deadlines
Collect and assess factual data, then create summarizing written reports
Create initial versions of non-complex pleadings
Represent attorneys in courts and other legal proceedings
Communicate with firm personnel, opposing counsel, and court officials
Aid attorneys in getting ready for mediations, depositions, and trials
Perform other administrative or legal-related duties upon request
Qualifications:
Possess a paralegal degree or certificate (preferred)
Have at least three years of litigation experience
Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills
Be able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
Have the ability to work independently and efficiently without supervision
Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with competing demands and under pressure
Show superior organizational and time management abilities
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of legal terminology, principles, and processes
Be proficient in MS Office Applications
Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Possess strong analytical, critical thinking, and attention to detail skills
Exhibit advanced computer literacy, with knowledge of Microsoft Office and legal software
