Benton and Alfred C.
Bosser, formed a partnership.
Benton and Bosser envisioned a law firm that specialized in both advising and advocating on behalf of clients, with a goal to create a preeminent law firm in Appleton with one group of attorneys concentrating on litigation, and one group of attorneys concentrating on business and personal legal matters.
Over the years, the firm has grown and evolved, but has stayed true to the vision established by Benton and Bosser, and remains dedicated to providing its clients with timely, practical and cost-effective services of the highest quality.
Compensation:
$26 - $29 hourly
Responsibilities:
We are currently looking for a skilled Litigation Paralegal to join our team.
Duties involve the coordination of all the details before, during and after the trial.
The successful candidate will be able to provide assistance during all phases of the litigation process including conducting interviews, legal research, document filing and attending trials.
Detailed responsibilities include:
Conducting pre-claim investigation, legal research and initial case assessments
Drafting pleadings, motions and appellate documents and filing them with the court
Performing administrative duties (calendar hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, managing logistics, etc.
)
Maintaining pleadings and discovery indexes
Organizing exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs and appendices
Aiding attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests
Gathering relevant information from a variety of sources
Liaise between the trial team and internal/external third parties
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will possess:
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Paralegal certification or degree and 2-5 years of proven experience as a Litigation Paralegal or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules and procedures, practices etc
Organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong writing and communication skills along with attention to detail
Extensive computer and database expertise
