Job Summary: As the Lead Teacher in your classroom, you are responsible for establishing quality relationships with your coworkers, your students, and your students' families.
You will set the expectations for your class in a way that supports the center’s goal of being a clean, clutter-free, and creative environment.
You will collaborate with your Assistant or Co-Lead Teachers to develop classroom activities that encourage social-emotional development, physical wellness, and purposeful play.
You will also work cooperatively with other Teachers, the Center Director, and the Assistant Director to develop strategies, programs, and activities to be implemented center-wide that support the company's core values below:

Educational Requirements: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must have previously completed or willing to take mandatory training classes in child care, child development, health and safety.
An ideal candidate is a Lead or Administrator qualified on The Registry, but this is not required upon hire.
All candidates must be enthusiastic about continuing education to support their development as a teacher.
Specific Duties: All Teachers assist with the physical, wellness, and learning needs of the children in their classroom.
Physical and wellness needs may include feeding, diaper changing, toilet training, general classroom cleaning before and after meals or activities and generally assisting children with their personal care.
Learning needs are much more complex but may include preparing quality lesson plans that allow participation by all skill levels in your classroom.
Additionally, providing children with strategies for dealing with emotions, being a good friend, and being respectful of our shared space.
Finally, Lead Teachers will hold the primary responsibility for collecting data and anecdotal records for assessment purposes, then meeting with parents to share their child’s progress.
Required Skills and Abilities: Our Teachers must be able to establish and maintain trusting relationships with children, their families, and their colleagues.
