Job Title: Medical Assistant for Sleep and Pulmonary Medicine
Reports to: Clinical Supervisor
Summary: To meet the needs of the patients and providers of FVPM, SC
Essential Job Duties:
Obtains and accurately documents patient vital signs, (height, weight, etc.
) and maintains/ updates patient medication information
Telephone assessments are completed and documented completely and accurately
Patient documentation is complete, accurate
Patient assessments for office visits are completed accurately, efficiently and respectfully
Patient comfort, dignity and confidentiality are maintained at all times

E equipment are ordered and /or scheduled the same day the Physician orders them (depending upon when the order is received)
Referrals are coordinated with other Physicians/ providers
Diagnostic breathing tests – spirometry and oximetry are performed as ordered by the Physician.
Physician is assisted with in-office procedures
Patient education is completed as requested by the provider
Lab work data is obtained as needed
Patient calls are returned in a timely manner
Maintains medical supply and sample inventories in a cost effective, organized manner
Communication with physicians, pharmacies, patients, etc is complete, accurate, efficient, timely and respectful
Serves as a valuable part of the patient care team
Maintains proficiency in computer skills

Requirements: HS Diploma
Preferred:
Education: Associate Degree
Lic / Cert: Medical Assistant Certification
Wisconsin Nursing Assistant Certification
Minimum one year experience as a Medical Assistant preferred
CPR- Basic Life Support
