JOB TITLE: Inventory Coordinator
POSITION TYPE: Full time
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
Monday - Friday, Day shift
Position Overview:
This position is responsible for coordinating finished goods inventories with a focus on tracking age of finished goods, managing & reporting of downgraded product, making stock order assignments, pallet splitting and inventory reconciliation, all in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Key Accountabilities:
Coordinating finished goods inventories and tracking age of finished goods:
Directing stock items to open orders and managing OS&D stock along with partial pallets.
Controlling and tracking age of all inventories within DC and at facilities assigned.
Reporting relevant issues, trends, and strategies to appropriate teams within the supply chain.
Managing all facility pallet counts on a bi-weekly schedule.
Includes full product pallets, empty rental pallet counts, empty purchased pallet counts.
Validating and handling of sample cheese items for grading and analysis
Validating all co-man inbound loads for accuracy
Responsible for all lot translation of items in R12 to include printing new pallet sheets, applying any needed labeling, etc.
Stock order assignment:
Communicating appropriate information on stock items and orders, for appropriate risk management of inventory at risk of crossing over specification.
Identifying the most profitable utilization of downgraded cheese, pallet splitting:
Directing and coordinating usage of downgrade cheese to maximize profit margin.
Assisting in the development and co-management of make to stock programs.
Pallet splitting:
Coordinating all pallet-splitting at Appleton Distribution Center
Inventory reconciliation:
Accounting for all inventory dispositions for month end and communicating any issues to P&L owners.
Providing research recommendations for the appropriate system tools (Warehouse Management System/Additional Reports) that support supply chain processes for inventory control.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma
1 year of job-related experience and knowledge related to the job.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associates degree, or some college.
3-5 years of job-related experience.
Physical Setting:
Appleton Distribution Center and other facilities within Foremost Farms network as assigned.
Position could be asked to support facilities outside of the Distribution Center which may require travel by vehicle within the state of Wisconsin either during business hours or possibly overnight if needed (10%).
