*Summary*
* Department: Surgery
* Shift Timings: 11:00 - 19:30 Hours Monday to Friday (5 Days/8Hours)
* Per Week: 40 Hours
* BLS, Graduate of Surgical Technologist Program; Call: based on department needs - currently at 1-2 Weeknights/Month; 1 Weekend approximately every 8th, Holidays as needed on call; Experience: Inpatient and Outpatient Surgical Cases; General, GYN, Urology, Podiatry, Ortho, Plastic's, Neuro, Vascular, ENT, Dental, Robotics; may need to float onsite within skill set or to St Elizabeth or Calumet as needed.
*Roles & Responsibilities*
* Preparing sterile operating rooms for surgeries.
* Sterilizing equipment and instruments.
* Stocking adequate supplies for surgery.
* Preparing patients for surgery by washing and disinfecting incision sites.
* Providing support during surgery by passing instruments and other supplies.
* Tracking surgical supplies.
* Staying up-to-date on surgical technology, medical terminology, and procedures.
* Working well with surgeons, surgical assistant, nurses and general surgical team.
* Helping provide great patient care.
