This position will work alongside quality educators and a collaborative team of music teachers through grade 8 and beyond.
*Requirements*: SMSA is seeking either a teacher certified as a licensed instructor for General Music in the State of Wisconsin or a candidate who attained 12 semester hours of credit in teacher education as part of, or in addition to, the degree OR attain licensure/ certification through an individualized plan of study approved by the Diocese.
A successful candidate understands and has experience in current practices and methodologies in Elementary Education.
The candidate must also have a desire to work collaboratively with colleagues, be willing to be flexible and inclusive, successfully integrate technology into teaching practices, and differentiate instruction and assessment.
The candidate also must be willing to help create an environment where students are encouraged to explore their creative side and be willing to include Catholic teachings and practices when appropriate.
*Teaching & Learning* - Candidate must understand the Wisconsin Academic Standards for Fine Arts; establish clear learning targets for weekly lesson plans for grades Kindergarten through grade 3; build rigorous aligned assessments and consistently implement instructional best practices; and facilitate instruction leading to successful students to grow into our music program.

*Compensation Notes: *Salary commensurate with experience.
Fifty percent tuition remission.
