Teen Center Youth Development Professional

*REPORTS TO: *Teen Center Director *Job Summary:* Hours will average 15-20 hours per week.
The hours will be from 3:30 pm- 8:00 pm Monday to Friday.
This is an hourly position and it is understood that there may be hours required outside of those listed here.
Plans, implements, supervises and evaluates activities provided in the Teen Center, such as Education, Computer Lab, Arts & Crafts and Physical Education.
Helps at the front desk with membership check-in, concessions, game check-out/in, answering phones and some cleaning duties.
Promote the components of health, wellness and fitness to achieve the goals of the organization.
It is the responsibility of every staff member to cultivate and maintain positive donor relationships.
Duties: - Recruit and engage youth participants in various programs and activities - Plan and implement educational and recreational programs for youth - Provide guidance and support to youth in their personal and academic development - Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive and inclusive environment for youth - Assist with administrative tasks such as record keeping, data entry, and program documentation - Participate in fundraising efforts to support program initiatives Qualifications: - Experience working with youth in a mentoring or educational setting - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to build rapport with youth from diverse backgrounds - Knowledge of youth development principles and best practices - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications - Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Professional Development Opportunities Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and may be subject to change based on the needs of the organization.
