We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Business Development Manager with a proven track record in targeting OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers), manufacturing companies, and construction firms.
As a Business Development Manager, your primary responsibility will be to identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within these specific sectors, contributing to our company's growth and success.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* *Market Research: *Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential clients, trends, and industry opportunities within the OEM, procurement, manufacturing, and construction sectors.
* *Lead Generation:* Identify and generate new business leads through various channels, including cold calling, networking, industry events, and online research.
* *Client Relationship Management:* Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and potential clients within these target sectors.
Understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
* *Proposal Development:* Prepare and present business proposals, quotes, and presentations tailored to the unique requirements and challenges of each target sector.
* *Sales Strategies:* Develop and implement targeted sales strategies for penetrating the OEM, procurement, manufacturing, and construction markets.
* *Negotiation:* Lead and successfully close sales deals, ensuring that agreements are mutually beneficial and meet or exceed revenue targets.
* *Strategic Partnerships: *Identify and pursue strategic partnerships, alliances, and collaborations with other businesses within these sectors to expand our market reach.
* *Pipeline Management: *Maintain a well-organized sales pipeline, track leads and opportunities, and provide regular reports on progress to the management team.
* *Market Expansion:* Explore and identify new markets and geographic regions within the OEM, procurement, manufacturing, and construction sectors for potential business expansion.
* *Reporting:* Provide regular reports on sales activity, market trends, and key performance metrics specific to the target sectors.
*Qualifications:*
* Proven experience in business development, sales, or related roles with a focus on metal fabrication.
* In-depth knowledge of the targeted industries, market dynamics, and key players.
* Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a results-driven mindset.
* Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in these specific sectors.
* Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently.
* Familiarity with Zoho CRM software and other business development tools is a plus.
* Proficiency in utilizing LinkedIn for building and nurturing professional connections on the platform.
* Skill in fostering relationships through various communication channels, such as email, virtual meetings, in-person networking events, text messaging, and engaging in in-person client meetings.
*Education and Experience:*
* Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
* Several years of relevant experience in business development, particularly in manufacturing, and construction sectors.
Experience working with the following titles in the industry; Construction Project Manager, Diversity & Inclusion, Procurement, Purchasing Manager, Logistic Manager, just to name a few.
