He played 5 years for coaches Dick Bennett, Brad Soderberg & Bo Ryan.
He contributed to teams at Wisconsin that went to the Final Four, Back-to-Back Big Ten conference championships & the first Badger team to win the Big Ten tournament.
After graduating with a personal finance degree, he decided to follow his entrepreneurial spirit and started his own agency with State Farm right out of college.
After 19 years, Dave Mader State Farm Agency has grown to be a leading State Farm Agency in the state of Wisconsin and nationally.

Proficient keyboard typing skills and experience with Microsoft Office and other popular computer software.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to learn and apply product, industry, and market knowledge to make professional recommendations to prospects and policyholders and to satisfy insurance licensing requirements.
Ability to influence others.
Ability to create professional business relationships with prospects and policyholders.
Strong listening, oral and written communication skills.
Ability to take initiative and act effectively in various circumstances without direction.
Self-confidence/perseverance/strong work ethic-remain positive and maintain progress towards a goal despite obstacles and adversity.

JOB RELATED TRAINING COURSES AND PROGRAMS Successfully complete all company, state, and federal requirements (licenses) to sell and service designated State Farm products and continue to be licensed in good standing as required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Generate and follow up with prospects and customers, schedule and conduct needs-based presentations, identify client needs, and market appropriate products.
Conduct needs-based sales presentations in or outside the agent's office supported by technology.
The ability to close the sale with current and prospective customers.
Implement the agency's marketing and sales plan at the direction of the agent.
Meet & exceed marketing & new business production sales goals and objectives set by the agent.
Network and build business referral relationships.
Provide prompt, accurate, friendly, cost-effective service and utilize it as a basis for establishing a marketing opportunity.
Work with agent's computer systems to update information in customer databases.
Prepare quotes, forms, policies, and endorsements when required.
WORK SCHEDULE Full time position with a 40-hour work week.
Office Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Weeknights and Saturdays by Appointment.
