*Full-Time Life & Health Customer Service Representative*
*(30-40 hours/week)*
*PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:* To provide service for existing and new agency customers and support agency producers in processing all lines of health insurance business in accordance with quality and service standards developed by the agency.
*EXPERIENCE: *
* 1-3 years Insurance or Customer Service Experience.
* Life/Health License preferred, but not required to hold – employee will test for this within 60 days of hire.
* 2- or 4-year college degree preferred but not required.
*QUALIFICATIONS:*
* Proven ability to understand and analyze insurance coverage, rating procedures, underwriting procedures, and industry operations.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability positively interact with carriers, producers, clients, and co-workers.
* Passion for high achievement.
Ability to stay focused in a high pressured, fast-paced environment including multitasking.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent computer skills, including, but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite and Agency Management System.
* Demonstrate strong personal ethics and teamwork.
*RESPONSIBILITIES:*
* Point of contact on accounts for Health Insurance related accounts (Individual, Group & Medicare).
* Maintain accurate and updated customer files using the agency management system.
* Review renewals and handle renewal activities in coordination with Producers; verify accuracy and remarket renewals if needed.
* Assist customers in selecting appropriate insurance plan including preparing quotes and applications.
* Maintain post-sale communications with clients.
* Help maintain workflow and work within established operating procedures.
* Coordinate Group Health compliance related items including communicating requirements to customers.
* Keep informed regarding industry information, new product information, legislation, coverage, and technology to continuously improve knowledge and performance.
* Ability to communicate clearly and in a friendly manner with customers, carrier representatives and office employees.
* Ability to stay focused in a high pressured, fast-paced environment including multitasking.
* Ability to use office management and communication systems.
* Other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.
00 - $22.
00 per hour
