*JOB SUMMARY:*
We are looking for an energetic, forward thinker who enjoys working with people and coming up with creative ways to tell stories to a wide range of audiences.
The Marketing and Events Coordinator is responsible for the strategic and day-to-day execution of the organization’s social media accounts, coordinating thoughtful and memorable events, designing/creating marketing materials for a broad range of programs, and helps drive other key marketing initiatives forward.
*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:*
1.
Responsible for strategizing, producing, and posting valuable, engaging, and timely content for company social media accounts.
Analyzes performance and insights to guide social strategy.
2.
Works alongside Marketing and Development Manager and other internal teams to identify, strategize, coordinate, and execute a variety of special events including tradeshows, fundraisers, program graduations, employee engagement, community outreach, and more.
Establishes and directs event schedules, timelines, and priorities.
3.
Work closely with community programs teams to identify marketing needs for various programs.
4.
Designs and updates marketing materials for various programs and audiences as needed.
5.
Writes, edit, and post timely and relevant blogs.
6.
Assists with executing key marketing and development initiatives as needed.
7.
Serve as main point of contact for vendor partners.
*PHYSICAL DEMANDS:*
Functions are considered light to moderate according to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Work performed includes the ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling), and lift to a maximum of twenty-five (25) pounds without assistance.
*WORK ENVIRONMENT:*
Normally works in a climate-controlled office environment.
Frequent sitting with movement throughout office spaces.
Use of computers throughout work.
Frequent use of keyboard with repetitive motion of hands, wrist, and fingers.
*JOB QUALIFICATIONS:*
1.
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field, or equivalent.
2.
Demonstrated written and verbal communications skills, and excellent attention to detail.
3.
Familiarity with basic graphic design principles, and experience with software including Canva and preferably the Adobe Suit of products including Photoshop, Illustrator, and Lightroom.
4.
Knowledge of current social media best practices and trends.
5.
Experience in project management or event coordination a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $40,000.
