The Product Line Manager holds the key responsibility of leading the strategic growth of our product range, entering into new market verticals for the company and ensuring it aligns with the changing demands of our customers.
This position will actively drive the strategic expansion of our product line across established entities and recently acquired ventures.
This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of the industrial market, fastener industry, market trends, and customer preferences.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, a proven track record of product expansion, and a passion for driving growth and innovation.
Essential Functions
Develop and execute a comprehensive product expansion strategy that encompasses both legacy and acquired companies, aligned with the company's overall objectives and growth targets.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape in the industrial market.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop sales tools, training materials, and marketing collateral that effectively promote new products and capitalize on sales opportunities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, integrating those from recently acquired companies, to conceptualize, design, and develop new product offerings tailored to resonate with customers across a spectrum of markets.
Monitor and analyze the financial performance of new product launches across legacy and acquired companies, including sales performance, profitability, and ROI, to optimize resource allocation and drive business growth.
Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges associated with product expansion initiatives across all business units to minimize negative impacts on the business and ensure sustainable growth.
Oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch for newly acquired product lines, including pricing strategy, product positioning, and go-to-market planning.
Ensure company policies/procedures are followed in accordance to applicable documents and/or laws.
Obtain documented inventory liability agreements with customers and execute those agreements to avoid slow moving or obsolesces within Endries inventory.
Utilize the company Corrective Action Policy in a timely manner as required.
Build and execute an employee growth plan for all Team Members.
Utilize the company Performance Evaluation Policy to ensure Team Members meet/exceed job expectations and work towards achieving future improvement plans.
Provide a healthy job environment to promote employee satisfaction and thereby decrease company/region turnover percent annually.
Required Skills/Abilities
Deep understanding of the industrial distribution, including market trends, customer needs, competitive landscape, and industry regulations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including presentation skills.
Skilled in financial analysis, including financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting, to make data-driven business decisions.
Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Proficient in the use of CRM systems and databases, and sales process analytics and statistics.
Innovative and creative thinking to develop new business models and revenue streams that drive growth and profitability.
Advanced business acumen and the ability to understand the needs of Endries’ business and those of customers and suppliers.
Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities.
Ability to gain trust and buy-in from subordinates, peers and executive leadership.
Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree Business or related field preferred.
10+ years of progressive responsibilities & related experience, i.
e.
sales, marketing, management.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the fastener distribution industry or related experience.
5+ years of leadership experience showcasing a solid history of exceptional leadership and team-building capabilities, effectively overseeing and nurturing teams for success.
