ABOUT THE JOB The primary purpose of Technical Sales Rep (TSR) is to sell and deliver Hawkins products, equipment and services.
The TSR is responsible for making sales, obtaining orders and securing contracts for Hawkins products, equipment and services.
TSRs establish, maintain and grow gross margin, profits and customer base.
These transactions customarily and regularly occur at the customers’ facilities.
Responsibilities: Sales and Customer Relationships Establish productive, professional relationships with potential, new and existing customers.
Deliver products to customers with emphasis on professionalism, timeliness and reliability Maintain territory profitability with customers by setting and monitoring customer pricing and ensuring customer satisfaction Establish customer routes that optimize efficiencies and deliver on customer expectations.
Pursue new opportunities for profit growth.
Product, Equipment and Service Follow all Hawkins safety and training procedures Safely deliver chemical products following Hawkins product transfer protocols and equipment.
Safely install and service all products and equipment Follow inventory control procedures Safety Comply with all DOT operating, maintenance and load securement standards and all applicable Federal, State, and Corporate environmental, safety, health regulations and standard operating procedures.
Communicate compliance, safety, and equipment needs as personally identified.
ABOUT YOU Ability to obtain and maintain a Class B Commercial Driver’s License and comply with DOT standards.
Must be able to work with or learn to use the computer and software systems at Hawkins.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to engage with customers with effective written and verbal communications Ability to learn and perform math calculations to determine product profits, pump flow rates, etc.
Excellent organization and time management skills.
Available to regularly work a schedule that consists of 10-12 hour days and requires some overnight travel Demonstrated problem solving skills Physical Requirements: Very heavy work including exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Ability to lift over 50 pounds regularly, 75 lbs.

Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, ramps, and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.
Ability to regularly climb in and out of truck cab and onto and off of the truck gate Ability to safely operate a forklift and commercial vehicle that transports chemicals including hazardous chemicals.
Ability to communicate via spoken word and hear at normal speaking levels with or without correction.
Requires fine motor skills including the ability to grasp and work with tools.
Requires stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and reaching.
Ability to work in a variety of weather and environmental conditions.
Travel: Up to 20%.
