As an Account Manager in our Retail division, you will be responsible for developing and managing strategic relationships with current and prospective customers.
You will serve as an ambassador for VCA, promoting our products and services while upholding our company values and policies.
This role requires a results-driven individual with excellent interpersonal skills, a commitment to customer satisfaction, and the ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders.
Position Responsibilities:
Build and maintain strategic relationships through sales calls, events, prospecting, and customer entertainment.
Communicate regularly with customers to promote products, provide solutions, and oversee account activity.
Achieve and exceed sales metrics within the assigned target market.
Assess and manage the sales funnel, identifying and forecasting opportunities.
Develop and execute performance objectives and KPIs to ensure sales goal achievement.
Maintain a proactive calendar aligned with customer and company needs.
Utilize sales tools to maintain customer information and submit regular reports to the company's CRM software.
Create and implement a sales strategy to meet personal and company sales goals.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to maximize efficiencies and shorten the sales funnel.
Coordinate with the sales team and team leaders to generate sales and provide an excellent customer experience.
Adhere to company procedures, values, and policies.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree with a Business/Marketing emphasis preferred.
Equivalent work experience will be considered.
Experience in consultative account management.
Understanding of the sales process.
Commitment to excellent customer experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
Strong organizational skills.
Experience using computers for various tasks.
Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to work comfortably in a dynamic environment.
Physical Requirements:
Approximately 20% overnight travel monthly.
This territory is located primarily in Madison, WI
Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive.
Sedentary work; office environment.
Ability to attend customer visits/meetings, which may require sitting, standing, or walking for long periods.
