We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Sales Support Specialist to join our team and play a pivotal role in achieving VBS's future growth goals.
The Senior Sales Support Specialist will not only handle core responsibilities of the Sales Support Specialist role but will also assist in training and mentoring the Sales Support team.
This position requires advanced communication skills, strong leadership abilities, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer experiences.
Position Responsibilities: Provide timely and quality service to inbound customer calls regarding orders, product inquiries, pricing, and delivery questions.
Process and review incoming customer orders and inquiries, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Support marketing campaigns targeted at various customer segments, including Coop Members, Board Members, Customers, Savings Direct, and Member Loyalty Points.
Review inbound web orders to ensure accuracy prior to order deadlines.
Handle territory paperwork, including credits, customer returns, margin changes, and customer documentation requests, and communicate with other departments as necessary.
Promote Cooperative values and develop strategies to support assigned Sales Managers' objectives and growth plans.
Offer support activities to enhance the team's effectiveness and responsiveness to customers and internal stakeholders.
Identify lapses and loopholes in daily processes of the sales support team through reporting and problem-solving.
Develop and maintain training documents for the Sales Support Team, collaborating with leadership on processes and cross-department communications.
Ensure all team members are trained on system and process changes relevant to their roles.
Assist in call monitoring of the Sales Support Specialist team, ensuring call scoring is calibrated on a quarterly basis.
Assist leadership with projects supporting sales activities, uncovering root causes, and implementing process improvements.
Perform emergency backup responsibilities as authorized by sales leadership.
Maintain customer company and contact information accurately using S2K.
Assist and set up Customers and Members with online ordering platforms.
Conduct training sessions for individuals or the team on systems and processes as agreed upon with leadership.
Support assigned Account Managers with tactical execution tasks.
Ensure timely fulfillment of VBS's management reporting requirements.
Communicate areas for enhancement or improvement to leadership to maximize efficiencies, results, and cost savings.
Professionally represent yourself and VBS at all times.
Be an effective team player and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred.
Previous experience in a sales support or customer service role preferred.
Previous experience as a trainer Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Willingness to adapt and learn new processes and systems.
