Position Summary

J.
Keller is adding a Marketing Event Planner to their incredibly successful Marketing Events team.
The Marketing Events team is one of the single biggest lead generators for the company, hosting over 300 events and generating over 70,000 leads in 2023 alone! As a Marketing Event Planner, you will facilitate the delivery of effective Executive Forums/Live Events, tradeshows, and webcasts across the United States.
This includes responsibility for the development of strategy with sales, content, consulting, and creative & promotion teams.
This role can work hybrid or on-site at our corporate location in Neenah, WI.
Job Responsibilities Facilitates the delivery of effective live and virtual events, such as Executive Forums, regulatory live events, tradeshows and webcasts.
Responsible for development of strategy with sales areas, content, consulting and creative & promotion.
Initiates and assists in the development of promotions to support event attendance.
Coordinates and gains consensus with internal stakeholders regarding outreach strategy and general event positioning.
Oversees event invitations, sales collateral & materials management: Maintains event folder contents with current sales offerings and capabilities.
Collaborates with Distribution, Creative & Promotion on shipment of event materials.
Coordinates with outside vendors for invitations and promotional items.
Interacts with Government Agencies and Associations to solicit guest speakers for live events.
Interacts with vendors to establish optimal venue conditions relative to cost and budget.
Negotiates rates, orders equipment and amenities.
Attends events (live and virtual) and provides facilitation and coordination as needed with vendors, speakers and attendees.
Achieves key metrics for event attendance, lead-to-attendee ratio and event costs.
Oversees lead generation planning strategy, activity and reporting for Sales teams, including managing lead distribution process in collaboration with Sales management.
Performs event summary reporting with attendee feedback, sales opportunity and concepts to drive future event delivery & conditions.
Qualifications Experience Prior marketing or sales experience, preferably in a professional services, business-to-business environment.
Prior trade show or event planning experience strongly preferred.
Education Bachelor’s degree in business related field desirable.
In lieu of a bachelor's degree, two years of additional related experience may be considered.
Other Skills/Qualifications Basic knowledge of marketing concepts, strategies and techniques.
Strong organizational and task management skills.
Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally and coordinate plans with multiple stakeholders.
Ability to perform analysis of activities and target audiences.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to travel at least 25% of the time.
Physical Requirements Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment.
Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for extended periods of time.
Frequent travel to offsite facilities is required.
Event set-up with lifting requirements of no more than 50 pounds.
